Legal Unit

The Legal Unit ensures the council is legally guided so as to avoid unwarranted litigations.

The Legal unit of Ikoyi Obalende serves as an Adviser to the LCDA.

Asides preparing all legal documents and contractual agreements on behalf of the LCDA, this unit also appears in court on matters related to the council.

Barr. Agunloye Samuel Ayodele – Head of Unit

Barrister Agunloye heads the legal department and is the chief legal officer at the Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA. He ensures that all legal documents and contractual agreements are properly scrutinized so that the council constantly adheres to binding legal frameworks. He is the liaison with the state government and other legal entities on legal matters.

About the LCDA


Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area was carved out of the old Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

The council with territorial size of 28square kilometres has an estimated population of about three hundred and forty two thousand (342,000) inhabitants, made up of predominantly Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas.
