Ikoyi Obalende Commissions 24hrs Primary Healthcare Centre

The Executive Chairman of Ikoyi Obalende, Hon Fuad Atanda Lawal officially opened the LCDA’s 24hrs Primary Healthcare Centre located in the Ijeh area of Dolphin, ikoyi on Saturday, 16th June 2019.

The Health centre with its world class amenities and first of its kind in the LCDA was named after Sen Oluremi Tinubu.

The Sen Oluremi Tinubu Primary Healthcare Centre has a fully functional integrated maternity centre to ensure safe childbirth and reduce the incidences of maternal and infant mortality, the facility has an equipped laboratory for tests and a standby ambulance on site at all times. The health centre is fully air conditioned with standby generator sets to ensure uninterrupted power round the clock. It also has its own in house Pharmacy for affordable drug dispensation with experienced medical personnels on ground 247.

In line with the administration’s goal of ensuring good health care is affordable and accessible by the people of the community, the Executive Chairman reiterated that the Centre is set to run 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. In his speech, he stated that the centre was commited to providing qualitative care to everyone in the community not minding their class and status.

The Special Guest of Honour at the commissioning , member of the Governing Advisory Council (GAC) of the state, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi (OON), who commissioned the newly built Health Centre encouraged the people particularly women to strive for excellence and shouldn’t be laid back when it comes to politics.

While giving her speech, the Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial district at the National Assembly , Sen Oluremi Tinubu (OON) 
applauded the Chairman and his team for having the interest of the people at heart and for the honour bestowed on her.

The MOH of the LCDA, Dr Osunyomi in her vote of thanks thanked the people for taking out time to grace the occasion and encouraged everyone present to visit the healthcentre when the need arises.

Other dignitaries at the commissioning were 
the Vice Chairman of Ikoyi Obalende LCDA , Engr Ogundimu Akande, Member Lagos State House of Assembly representing Eti-Osa constituency 2, Hon Gbolahan Yishawu, Chairmen of local governments, APC Party Leaders, Party members, amongst others.

About the LCDA


Ikoyi-Obalende Local Council Development Area was carved out of the old Eti-Osa Local Government Area.

The council with territorial size of 28square kilometres has an estimated population of about three hundred and forty two thousand (342,000) inhabitants, made up of predominantly Yorubas, Ibos and Hausas.
